I was raised in Fergus Falls and chose to return to raise my family. I'm running because I believe our city deserves thoughtful, transparent leadership that plans for the future while serving today's residents. I believe that affordable housing is absolutely essential for our community’s growth and long-term stability. If we want our local economy to thrive and our city to retain and attract people, we must ensure that the folks who live and work here actually have a place they can afford to call home. When our residents have stable, secure housing, it creates a foundation that lifts up everyone around them.
There have been several instances over the past few years where the City Council made a decision that lacked transparency. In at least one case, this led to the closing of a local business. I commit to full transparency about my decision making process if elected to the City Council.
It is important to me that the issues of today are addressed. It is also important that we consider the future residents of our town. I'll advocate for thoughtful investments that strengthen Fergus Falls for generations to come.
